Critical Care, Intensive Care, & Specialist Transfers

Critical Care, Intensive Care, & Specialist Transfers

Enhanced Care Services is among a select number of UK ambulance providers able to deliver enhanced and critical care transfers. These are led by specialist Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine clinicians and Critical Care Consultants, supported by comprehensive intensive care transfer equipment and strong clinical governance frameworks.

The organisation also undertakes complex admissions and Court of Protection transfers, including cases where patients require sedation or a general anaesthetic at home to enable safe transport to hospital.

From initial care planning and consultancy through to High Court attendance for expert witness evidence, services extend to specialist transfers delivered by a dedicated critical care team operating alongside a fully equipped emergency ambulance.

UK And Europe Ground Repatriations

UK And Europe Ground Repatriations

We support patients returning to the UK by air following illness or injury overseas, providing onward transport to hospitals or other healthcare facilities. Our UK and European ground repatriation services include long-distance road transfers, airport collections, and direct airside handovers on the tarmac.

As a specialist provider, we manage the full spectrum of transfer requirements, from high-dependency, Paramedic-led journeys to intensive care team transfers from airside to hospital, helping to minimise air ambulance delays.

Every transfer is delivered by an experienced clinical team using a modern, fully equipped fleet, underpinned by strong clinical governance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can travel with me?

Due to space limitations and to ensure the privacy of our patients, we usually limit extra passengers to one person. This is typically a relative, carer or close friend, and it is agreed upon with the patient beforehand. In all circumstances, we consider the safety of the patient and the crew and assess your requirements on the individual merits.

What can I bring with me in one of your ambulances?

Generally speaking, we allow our patients to travel with an overnight bag and any items essential for their ongoing care.

Can my guide dog travel with me in an ambulance?

If you have a guide dog or other assistance dog that you wish to travel with you, we will consider the precise circumstances and make every effort to ensure they can travel with you. The safety of the patient and crew must always come first and these scenarios are judged on a case-by-case basis.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in the south of England and primarily cover London and the south, including Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Surrey and Sussex. We do however undertake longer distance transfers regularly so please do contact our team.
