The Enhanced Care Services Paediatric Minor Illness (PMI) course is aimed at those wanting to further their experience, understanding and management of minor illnesses in the paediatric patient.
The 1-day course is delivered face-to-face and combines theoretical and practical sessions with joint learning.
Course Content
The PMI course develops knowledge and skills relating to:
– History taking and Examination
– Common Paediatric Presentations
– Common Presentations in the ‘Under 1’s’
– Key Aspects of Safeguarding
This course is specifically designed and delivered by Emergency Doctors and Specialist Practitioners who all have extensive experience in Paediatric Minor Illnesses.
Eligibility
The PMI course is appropriate for Healthcare Professionals working in the Emergency Department, Pre Hospital setting, Frontline Ambulance or at Events.
