The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a regulated qualification aligning with the Health and Safety Executive syllabus, assuring employers they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities around first aid training.
The 1-day course is delivered face-to-face and is designed to equip individuals with the essential skills needed to provide safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations in the workplace.

Course Content
The EFAW course develops knowledge and skills relating to:
– The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
– Assessing an incident
– Managing an unresponsive patient
– CPR and defibrillation
– Choking, Seizures and Shock
– Minor Injuries, Wounds and Bleeding
Optional Module
– Management of Catastrophic Bleeding
This course is delivered by qualified instructors with extensive pre hospital experience working as Paramedics and Emergency Care Assistants.
Eligibility
The EFAW course is appropriate for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide help to people in a range of emergency first aid situations.
