ECS Launches Mental Health and Youth Mental Health First Aid Courses! 

From January 2026, ECS will be offering the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace, in addition to the Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Youth Mental Health First Aid.

Well-being in the workplace is essential for a positive work environment, and with 1 in 4 people in the UK likely to experience a mental health issue each year, supporting employees and actively promoting positive mental health in the workplace has become a priority for many organisations. Mental Health First Aiders play a vital role in reducing the stigma associated with mental health in the UK.

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification specifically designed for those who would like to become a Mental Health First Aider in their workplace.  This qualification raises learners’ awareness of mental health and common associated conditions, as well as developing an understanding of how to support, reassure and signpost fellow colleagues to professional support.

ECS as a trial site for the brand new Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Youth Mental Health First Aid

At Enhanced Care Services, we are excited to have been accredited as a centre to be involved in the trial delivery of the Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Youth Mental Health First Aid, a newly developed course that equips adults with the knowledge and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to mental health issues affecting young people.

This one-day course focuses on key conditions such as depression, eating disorders, and suicide, helping develop a deeper awareness of the signs, symptoms, and challenges young people may face. It highlights the importance of active listening, supportive conversations, and knowing how to respond appropriately when a young person is in distress, while staying within safe and appropriate boundaries.

Whether you are involved in supporting young people as part of voluntary roles, a teaching or education provider, or just want to be able to support those close to you, this new course is ideal to provide improved awareness of youth mental health conditions and how to support those in distress.
