Recognise signs and symptoms of the possible range of abuse and or neglect in children of all ages

Respond competently and confidently, knowing what knowledge and skills are needed to recognise child abuse

Know how to make a referral to the relevant agency or professional group and to find out the outcome of a referral

Understand the importance of follow-up to the health and developmental outcome for the child

This course is designed for:

Doctors in training (ST1-ST3), core trainees in paediatrics, emergency medicine and in general practice and speciality trainees

Paediatric specialty dentists who are ST3 grade and above, may attend courses with appropriate specialty dentistry trainers
