e-Advanced Life Support Course Description
The RC(UK) e-Advanced Life Support (e-ALS) course has been developed using evidence-based guidelines and decades of experience in delivering effective resuscitation courses for healthcare professionals and will help build the confidence needed to take the lead in an emergency.
This course blends 1-day of e-learning, completed at your own pace prior to the course, followed by 1-day of face-to-face practical learning, providing increased flexibility and reducing the need for time away from work.
This is an internationally recognised qualification providing the freedom to use lifesaving skills in other countries.
Course Content
The e-ALS course develops knowledge and skills relating to:
– Recognising and managing the deteriorating patient using a structured ABCDE approach
– Airway Management
– Intraosseous Access
– Standardised CPR and Defibrillation
– Cardioversion and Pacing
– Manage a cardiac arrest by working with a multidisciplinary team in an emergency situation
– Team Working and Non-Technical Skills
This course is delivered by experienced Emergency Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics with current hands-on care with patients in the NHS.

Eligibility
The e-ALS course is designed for Healthcare Professionals wanting to develop skills in ALS as part of their clinical duties, as well as those who teach these skills on a regular basis.
All candidates are expected to be competent in basic life support prior to attending the e-ALS course.
The e-ALS course is recognised for up to 5 Continual Professional Development (CPD) points.
