To apply you will need an up to date CV and a short (200 word) covering letter as to why you wish to apply for #TeamECS. We must stress that we read each one, and are looking for individuals who demonstrate a passion for quality care, in line with our vision and values.

Following applications closing at midnight on the 18th January, applicants will be shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online interview and if successful will need to attend a practical assessment centre (for clinical roles). Assessment days will predominantly take place at the ECS HQ in Southampton and London.

Once successful, you will be supported to become compliant as part of our onboarding process and will have uniform provided. All equipment is provided by ECS, including medicines and controlled drugs for relevant roles.

Current Vacancies (Closing 18th January 2026)

Doctors

We are looking for Resident, Enhanced and Critical Care Doctors to join our events team in 2026.

 

Resident Doctors should have successfully completed the Foundation Programme and be actively working in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care or Anaesthetics.

Enhanced Care Doctors should hold MRCEM and be actively working in Emergency Medicine as ST4+ or equivalent

Critical Care Doctors should have a base speciality of Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics or Intensive Care and be past phase 1a of PHEM training, or hold equivalence in a current UK pre-hospital critical care service.

Emergency Nurses

We are looking for Nurses with at least 2 year post-registration experience to join our Emergency Nursing team. Our Nurses are integral to our large scale medical centre delivery and work across Resuscitation, Majors and Minors areas. You should have current experience of working in Emergency or Critical Care settings and hold emergency nursing competencies.

In addition to our Emergency Nursing team, we are also recruiting for a small number of senior Emergency Department Nurses to join our Triage and Medical Centre Manager team. These roles are fulfilled by current UK Emergency Department senior Nurses, to provide front-door triage and oversee our Medical Centre operational delivery, very similar to a Nurse in Charge role. These roles will be selected from successful applicants.

Paramedics and Specialist Paramedics

We are looking for passionate and driven Paramedics who want to work across a range of operational delivery, from ambulance to foot response, who value quality. Fully equipped, and with access to senior remote clinical advice by Emergency Medicine and Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Consultants, our Paramedics deliver care across both small and large scale events, from sports and stadia to festivals and cultural shows.

As the event industry’s enhanced and critical care specialists, we are also looking for the following specialist roles:

Specialist Paramedic/Practitioner in Critical Care – we are looking for CCPs who work as part of a pre-hospital critical care service, to join our critical care team. Working either solo or as part of a PHEM Doctor and CCP critical care team, our CCPs respond to the highest acuity patients across our activity. With robust governance, you’ll be joining a team of experienced and current clinicians who deliver level 3 pre-hospital critical care as part of their substantive ‘day-job’ roles.

 

Specialist Paramedic/Practitioner in Urgent Care – providing extended skills to support minor illness and injury management and hospital avoidance, our urgent care practitioners work in both small and large scale medical centres.

Emergency Care Assistants

We are looking for current Emergency Care Assistants, Emergency Care Support Workers and Emergency Ambulance Crew to work alongside our Paramedics and other ECAs to provide ambulance provision to our events.

First Responders

We are looking for qualified first responders who hold FREC 3 or Level D FPHC equivalent courses to join our FR team. You will be working across all of our event activity, delivering care alongside a range of healthcare professionals with some of the best equipment and access to the highest levels of care in the industry. Our First Responders work on foot, finish lines, in medical centres and you could even join our cycle responder team!

Tactical and Operational Commanders

We are looking for a small number of qualified Operational and Tactical commanders to join our Event Medical Manager and Operational Team Leader roles.

Our Event Medical Managers are responsible for the overall medical delivery throughout an event, and work closely with our control room team to ensure timely responses, excellent joint working with partner agencies and close communication with event organisers to collectively ensure high quality operational delivery and a safe event.

Our Operational Team Leaders work across an event site, briefing teams, responding to complex and high acuity emergencies, and ensuring operational medical provision is delivered in line with the event medical plan.

Dispatchers

As a key role across our large scale event delivery, you will be working within our event control rooms to coordinate timely and appropriate medical responses to incidents, in conjunction with our Event Medical Managers and Control Room Team Leaders. You should be a current control room operative, ideally with a background in emergency service and health dispatch.
