Major Incident Medical Management (MIMMS)

MIMMS Course

MIMMS presents the nature and management of a major incident, focusing on how to deliver the medical support needed to multiple casualties. As the only international standard in major incident medical management, the course is taught and the principles are practiced throughout the world, being integrated into civilian and military medical practice.

Course Content

  • Understanding the organisations, structures and roles in managing major incidents and how they work together.

  • Able to prepare for and implement a structured approach when responding to major incidents (CSCATTT).

  • Able to deliver the medical support needed at major incidents, through triage, treatment and transport.

The MIMMS course is designed for medical personnel who may require understanding and knowledge around the management of a major incident.

 
 

Our MIMMS courses are delivered exclusively by Emergency Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics and includes the opportunity to attend a large site as part of an exercise.
