FREC Courses

As a Qualsafe registered centre, ECS delivers a range of courses including FREC 3 and FREC 4 to a very high standard in keeping with our ethos of delivering excellence.

FREC 3 - Course Content

This informative, hands-on 5-day course fulfils the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, providing the knowledge and practical skills needed to deal with a range of prehospital emergency care situations. The Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) covers; administration of emergency oxygen, management of trauma patients, major illnesses and much more.

FREC 4 - Course Content

Fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level E, this fantastic qualification provides Learners with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to be able to deal with a wide range of Prehospital care emergencies, such as: major incidents, fracture immobilisation, sick and injured children, mental health problems and more.

 
 

Our courses are delivered exclusively by Emergency and Critical Care Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics who all have extensive pre-hospital experience.

 

Who are these courses for?

FREC 3 is aimed at those requiring a recognised entry level qualification for event medicine and ambulance operations. FREC 3 is the minimum qualification required to join #TeamECS as a First Responder.

FREC 4 is aimed at those wanting to progress and become an Emergency Care Assistant. On successful completion of FREC 4 you would be eligible to undertake the CERAD Emergency Driving qualification.
